Volume 2 is geared at year 2-8 consisting of the harder spelling rules, prefixes and suffixes, longer multisyllabic words, the exceptions to the rules and it consists of punctuation and grammar activities which are tested in the NAPLAN. This allows teachers to differentiate students’ abilities and extend the good spellers or go back to the basics for the poor spellers. Most children who struggle with spelling will need to start on Volume 1 to ensure they have mastered the easier spelling rules.
