Cigalle Gottheiner migrated to Australia at the age of twelve. As her
parents are Australian, she had a basic understanding of English at
that time. Through her experience learning to communicate in
English as her second language, Cigalle was inspired to teach
children to read and improve their language and literacy skills. She
studied Speech Pathology at the University of Sydney, graduating
in 1997 and going on to work in the public and private sectors, as
well as working closely with schools and teachers.
Cigalle has worked with articulation, phonology, language disorders, stuttering and literacy difficulties. She is particularly well known for her success working with learning and reading difficulties. Her passion for helping children learn and develop successful ways to communicate and comprehend has been the main motivation in developing Spelling Secrets.
