/sh/ and /zh/ Sounds — Spelling Secrets

This video includes the various ways to use the more advanced ‘sh’ and ‘zh’ spelling such as ‘ti’, ‘ci’ and ‘si’. It teaches students to go back to the base words to work out which /sh/ to use.

For example:

act→ action

face→ facial

discuss→ discussion

comprehend→ comprehension

The video addresses the other ways of producing these sounds such as su (sugar), ce (ocean), x (luxury) and ch (chef).
